The programming of the speed controller is done using the SET key and the display of the red and green LEDs.
Furthermore, an external module, a programming card, is available in the accessories for user-friendly programming of the
speed controller.

.1 Checking the tooth flank play

The model is already assembled ready to run and can be put into operation immediately. For
optimum transfer of force, however, occasionally the tooth flank play between the motor
pinion and the main gear wheel should be checked.
Only if the gear wheels turn smoothly and mesh into one another without play will the mode-
rate power be used entyrely and premature wear prevented.
For this, the motor shaft and the drive shafts to the front and rear axles have to be aligned
to be precisely parallel and the gap adjusted in optimum fashion.
>
Insert a strip of paper between the motor pinion and the main gear wheel and turn it by
hand.
If the strip of paper tears when drawn in, then the gap is too small. As a result, tension
may develop in the power train as well as premature wear of the bearings in the clutch
and motor.
If the gap is too large, the motor pinion may slip. The result would be jerking in the
drive and premature wear of the gear wheels.
To correct the spacing, undo the motor retainer screws on the underside of the chassis,
and shift the motor appropriately.

. Restoring the transmitter/receiver link

The transmitter and receiver are already correctly preset at the factory and can be used immediately. Restoring the link is
necessary only after changing the receiver and transmitter or to rectify an error.
During the binding procedure, the transmitter and receiver have to be at as close a distance to each other as
possible.
Carry out the following procedure to restore the link:
>
Switch off the transmitter.
>
Pull out the cotter pin to open the receiver box and carefully take out the recei-
ver.
>
For safety reasons, disconnect the servo/the speed controller from the receiver.
>
Plug in the binding cable into the connection for Channel 3 (Bind) on the
receiver.
>
Connect the receiver rechargeable battery to the receiver.
The LED on the receiver starts blinking.
>
Press the bind button on the transmitter and hold it down, while you switch the
transmitter on.
>
When the LED on the receiver stops blinking, the binding is completed.
>
This may take about 5 seconds.
>
Release the bind button on the transmitter and detach the binding cable from
the receiver.
>
Reconnect the servo/the speed controller to the receiver and put it back into the
receiver box. Mind the antenna when doing so.
>
Check the functioning of the servos and the range of the remote control system.
>
If the servos do not react correctly, repeat this procedure.
