Using Pulse Setting
PULSE can be used to control chopping action or to encourage mixing of ingredients.

Place blender jar on base.

Rotate variable speed control knob clockwise. Adjust to a higher speed after starting blender. Hold
down the PULSE button for the desired time.

Fill by opening lid. Add
ingredients.

Place lid on jar. Plug in blender.
FOR HOT LIQUIDS

Turn variable speed control
knob from (OFF) to 1.
w WARNING Burn Hazard:
When blending hot liquids,
remove filler-cap of two-piece
lid. To prevent possible burns:
Do not exceed the 6-cup
(1420-ml) level. Hot liquids may
push off two-piece lid during
blending; therefore, with the
protection of an oven mitt or
thick towel, place one hand on
top of the lid, keep exposed
skin away from the lid, and start
blending at lowest speed.
