Do not use filtering devices for entering unventilated tanks, mines,
canals, etc.
Do not use in oxygen-enriched atmospheres.
The oxygen content of the ambient air must not drop below the
following limit values:
at least 17 vol. % oxygen in all European countries except for
the Netherlands, Belgium and the UK
at least 19 vol. % oxygen in the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK,
Australia and New Zealand
In other countries, observe the applicable national regulations.
The weight of the respiratory filters must not exceed 300 g.
If necessary, use appropriate eye and head protection.
Before first use, the operating company/user must ensure the
following (see European Directive 89/656/EEC):
the fit must be perfect, e.g. to ensure an absolutely tight fit,
the personal protective equipment must match all other types
of protective equipment worn at the same time (e.g. protective
jacket),
the personal protective equipment must be suitable for
respective workplace conditions,
the personal protective equipment must meet the ergonomic
and health requirements of the respective wearer of
respiratory protective equipment.
3.2
Preparation for use
X-plore 4340:
a. Screw in the respiratory filter.
b. Don the half mask (see chapter 3.2.1 on page 32).
c. Test for leaks (see chapter 3.2.2 on page 33).
X-plore 4390:
a. Press the cover near the handle areas from the Filterbox.
b. Screw in the respiratory filter.
c. If necessary, insert the prefilter into the cover.
d. Attach the cover to the Filterbox.
