If there are considerable differences in withers height among the herd (i.e. more than 20 cm), the machine should be
mounted slightly higher in order to avoid excessive brush wear.
Occupational safety during mounting:
• the machine must always be secured against falling or toppling over while being installed - risk of fatal injury!!!
–> Place a retaining strap around the rod end and secure with a lifting device.
• only mount the brush unit when the support arm is securely screwed in.
• during installation and especially before commissioning, never reach inside the machine (behind the safety panels).
The electronics control box above the machine must then be secured out of the reach of the animals.
