11.5 Connecting the headphones
Set the volume to the lowest level before connecting headphones in order to avoid
damaging your hearing. You can then set the volume to the level you want.
Be careful when using headphones. Listening to high-volume audio can damage
your auditory system.
The headphones jack [8] is used to connect headphones. If the headphones are plugged in, the
speakers [3 and 12] are automatically muted.
11.6 Line Out jack
The Line Out jack [19] gives you the option of connecting an external audio device, e.g.
loudspeaker or HiFi system, to play the output from the Internet Radio on this device. You will need
a connecting cable, which is not supplied with the Internet Radio. See the operating instructions for
the audio device used.
Even if there is a plug inserted into the Line Out jack [19], audio is still played through the
loudspeakers [3 and 12]. If you wish, you can switch off the loudspeakers using the MUTE button
[42] or the volume knob.
11.7 DLNA streaming (DMR)
Another way to play music is DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) streaming. DLNA allows
devices from different manufacturers to communicate with each other. The audio source is the only
control device, so playback control is not on the Internet Radio. Possible sources are computers,
