2. To power on, press and hold the smaller, blue power button (Fig. 3-1) for 1 second. Ensure blower indicator lights and alarms are working properly,
according to the blower User Instructions.
3. Ensure the blower is operating in tight-fitting mode. The tight-fitting facepiece icon is lit when the blower is in tight-fitting mode (Fig. 3-6). Once
the blower is running in tight-fitting mode it will remain in tight-fitting mode, even if the breathing tube is removed, as long as the blower is not
powered down.
4. Place the TR-600 Motor Blower at your back and connect the belt around your waist. The belt should be snug but comfortable.
5. Use a mirror, or have a buddy examine the breathing tube trunk to ensure it is not twisted.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

Cleaning is recommended after each use. Follow the cleaning and storage procedures detailed in the User Instructions for the half and full-facepiece
respirator being used and the TR-600 Powered Air Purifying Respirator.
Follow the cleaning procedure detailed below for the BT-60 Series Breathing Tubes. Do not clean breathing tubes with solvents. Cleaning with solvents
may degrade components and reduce effectiveness.
Cleaning BT-60 Series Breathing Tubes
Breathing tubes can be cleaned by wiping with a soft wet cloth, rinsing, or immersing in warm water, temperature not to exceed 120˚F. Scrub with a
soft brush until clean, if needed. Add neutral detergent if necessary. Do not use cleaners containing lanolin or other oils. Rinse in fresh, warm water
and air dry in non-contaminated atmosphere.
Disinfect breathing tubes by soaking in a solution of quaternary ammonia disinfectant or sodium hypochlorite (1 oz. [30 mL] household bleach in 2
gallons [7.5 L] of water), or other disinfectant. Rinse in fresh, warm water and air dry in non-contaminated atmosphere.
Storage
The cleaned breathing tube should be stored away from contaminated areas when not in use. See specific storage conditions in the Technical
Specifications section of these User Instructions.
