WARNING: Reversing can be performed only
when the spindle is not rotating!
Drilling and tightening screws are performed with lever
in extreme position to the left. Removal of screws is per-
formed with lever in extreme position to the right.
DRILLING POSITIONS
This symbol indicates the "DRILLING MODE".
Used for all normal drilling (Wood, Aluminium,
and Steel) in this mode the clutch is deactivated.
This symbol indicates the "HAMMER MODE".
This mode will activate hammer action, whilst
drilling. For best results in hammer mode, set the
gear selector to position "2".
* Only for models with impact function
SWITCHING ON - SWITCHING OFF
Switching on: press ON/OFF switch (5).
Switching off: release ON/OFF switch (5).
The power tool is equipped with a brake. The spindle
stops rotating immediately after releasing the switch le-
ver.
SMOOTH ELECTRONIC RPM CONTROL
Light pressure on ON/OFF trigger switch (5) results in
low rotation speed, further pressing the switch results in
smooth increase of the rpm to maximum upon reaching
the extreme position.
TORQUE ADJUSTMENT
By rotating the torque adjustment collar (2) behind the
chuck, it is possible to adjust the torque to each of 15/21
settings.
The range of 15/21 torque settings allows better control
when using the drill as a screwdriver as it prevents over-
tightening of the screws.
The numbers circling the collar are used to indicate the
level of torque. The larger the number on the collar, the
higher the torque. To select any of the numbers, rotate
the collar (2) until the desired number aligns with the ar-
row head indicator on the housing.
SPEED SELECTOR SWITCH
The two-speed selector switch (3) enables you to select
the appropriate gear with the optimum speed and
torque to suit the application.
WARNING: When changing the gear selector
ensure the drill is not operating.
1. To select the low gear (low speed, high torque setting),
push the gear selector (3) forward, towards the chuck.
The digit 1 on the switch will be displayed.
2. To select the high gear (high speed, low torque set-
ting), push the gear selector (3) back, away from the
chuck. The digit 2 on the switch will be displayed.

INSERTING AND REMOVING BITS
WARNING: To avoid unintentional starting we
recommend removing the battery pack out of the tool.
The drill is fitted with auto spindle lock which means if
you try and rotate the chuck by hand the spindle of the
drill will automatically lock. This means you only need to
grasp the chuck and rotate the chuck housing to remove
or fit accessories.
This drill is equipped with a keyless chuck, hence a
chuck key is not needed to secure a bit in the drill. Always
set the forward/reverse switch (6) to the locked (neutral)
position when installing and removing bits.
1. Open the chuck jaws by firmly holding the chuck
housing and rotating the housing in an anti-clockwise
direction. Open the jaws sufficiently so as to fit the de-
sired accessory.
2. Ensure the accessory is fully inserted, so that the jaws
of the chuck grip onto the flat section of the accessory.
3. To firmly clamp the accessory in the chuck, grasp
the chuck housing and rotate the chuck housing in a
clockwise direction. Ensure the bit is retained firmly or
damage to the chuck jaws can result.
4. To remove the accessory, open the chuck jaws by ro-
tating the housing in an anti-clockwise direction.
SIDE HANDLE
* Only for models with impact function
The auxiliary handle (15) supplied could be fixed in left or
right position on the gearcase.
To fix the handle screw it in clockwise direction.
DRILLING
Drilling metal
▪ For maximum performance, use high speed steel bits
for metal or steel drilling.
▪ Ensure that the torque adjustment collar (2) is at posi-
tion "drill bit".
▪ Begin drilling at a very low speed to prevent the bit
from slipping off the starting point.
▪ Always clamp sheet metal.
▪ Support thin metal with a block of wood to avoid dis-
torting it.
▪ Use a punch to mark the centre of the hole.
▪ Use a suitable lubricant for the material you are work-
ing on.
