8.3 Final Decommissioning
All disassembly work requires maximum care, so as to prevent the liquids inside the
filter from agitating, which could be hazardous for the personnel carrying out
disassembly.
When preparing disassembly and utilisation of the filter, it is required to negotiate the
proper method of disposing of housing elements, etc., contaminated by welding
smoke, with an appropriate waste processing company, beforehand.
For that reason, the filter must be disassembled in a well-ventilated and appropriately
separated/designated room with an air extraction system.
Prior to commencing disassembly, clean the device and remove the filter element.
The agitated dusts still present inside the device must be removed with an industrial
vacuum cleaner of class "H" filtration.
When carrying out disassembly, personnel must wear personal protection equipment,
e.g. protective clothes, gloves, independent breathing equipment, etc., in order to
prevent contact with hazardous dusts.
The agitated dusts must be removed with an industrial vacuum cleaner of class "H"
filtration.
Clean the working station, when the MaxiFil device has been disassembled.
