5 Functional description
The extraction system forms part of a welding system and is intended for use with manual and robot welding torches.
A maximum of two fume extraction torches can be connected. The filter medium corresponds to the welding fume separation
class H13. The extraction system is designed to separate fumes generated during welding or the thermal cutting of steels with
alloy constituents such as nickel or chrome < 30 % and high-quality steels.

Functional description
Harmful fumes are produced during the welding process. Two powerful turbines (2) draw the polluted air into the middle
section of the extraction device via the air intake fittings (3). During this process, the air is pressed through the filter membrane
in the filter cartridges (5). The particles and dust from the welding process stick to the surface of the filter material. The filter
cartridges are automatically cleaned during operation. The cleaned air is then directed into the upper section of the
extraction system and returned to the environment through an exhaust air grille (1).
The extraction system can be connected to the following receptacles:
• Fume extraction torch
• Welding torch with external extraction systems
• Funnel-shaped nozzle with magnetic bracket
