1. Make sure that the appliance is switched
off.
2. Fill in oil up to the required level (between
MINI-MUM and MAXIMUM).
3. Turn the temperature select switch to
the required temperature and switch the
appliance on. The red control lamp turns on.
4. If you use solid frying fat, set the appliance
to approx. 140 °C. Cut the fat into small
cubes of about 2 cm. Fill in a sufficient
amount of fat cubes to cover the heating
element. Switch the appliance on. As soon
as these cubes are melted add more fat
cubes until the required level between MIN
and MAX is reached. This type of fat will
become solid after cooling down.
5. As soon as the required temperature is
reached the green control lamp turns on.
The appliance is equipped with a thermostat
to regulate the temperature. The heating is
turned on and off in intervals. Accordingly
the green control lamp turns on and off. In
order to obtain optimum frying results, you
should only add the foodstuff to be fried
when the required temperature is reached
and the green control lamp is lighting.
6. Place the foodstuff into the basket and
lower it slowly into the oil. If you want your
foodstuff crispy, you should fry without
lid. As soon as the temperature falls and
cleaning anD maintenance
1. Unplug before cleaning.
2. let the appliance cool off completely. Do not
touch the heating element, as this is still hot
for a long time after use.
3. Take off the control element by pulling it
carefully upwards.
4. The heating and control element must not
be plunged into water or any other liquid or
come into contact with water.
5. Take out the oil pan with both hands. If you
want to use the oil again pass it through
a very fine sieve. You may store the fat in
the enamelled oil pan with closed lid in
the refrigerator. For reuse, solid oil can be
heated on the stove until it's just liquid
before placing the heating element.
6. Replace used frying oil regularly. Dispose the
used oil according to your local regulations.

foodstuff out of the fat and wait until the
required temperature is reached again. Then
continue frying until the foodstuff is ready.

8. Frozen food contains more water than dry
food and causes more splashes!
9. Do not leave the fried food too long in
the drainage position over the deep fryer.
Escaping steam may weaken the crust.
10. Do not leave the appliance unattended after
use, always unplug after use.
11. Overheat protection/safety shut off
12. The appliance is equipped with an overheat
protection. If the appliance is switched on
inadvertently or without oil in the oil pan
and the heating element is not sufficiently
covered with fat, the appliance is switched
off automatically to avoid overheating.
13. In this case first switch off and unplug
the appliance. Let the deep fryer cool off.
Remove the heating element and push the
small RESTART button in the cable storage.
7. Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning
agents for cleaning of the enamelled oil pan,
as this may scratch the surface. All parts
except the heating and control element can
be cleaned in warm soapy water or in the
dishwasher. In case of encrustations, soak
the respective parts in warm soapy water.
8. Wipe the control element with a dry cloth.
9. Dry all parts carefully.
10. Clean the appliance regularly for a longer
lifetime of the deep fryer.
11. Reassemble the appliance as described in
the chapter „First use".
