Ensure that the plug housing is securely fitted to the bus
coupler housing.

6.3.3 Connecting the bus coupler as a final station

1. Set up the correct pin assignments (see Table 4 on page 93)
on the plug connections if you do not use pre-assembled
wiring.
2. Connect the incoming bus connection only to X71 (1).
3. Remove the PG fitting B.
4. Use switches S7 and S8 (both in the "ON" position)
to terminate the bus with the internal bus terminator
(see also "Setting the bus terminator" on page 110).
5. Screw the PG fitting B back in. Pay attention that the sealing
ring is positioned correctly.
6. Cover the X72 (BUS OUT) socket with a protective cap (2).
7. Connect the shield on both sides of the bus cable directly to
the plug housing (EMC housing) if non-pre-assembled
cables and plugs with metal housing are used. This protects
data lines from terminal interference.
Ensure that the plug housing is securely fitted to the bus
coupler housing.
