The area within a radius of 15 meters
around the machine must be considered a
risk zone in which no one must enter while
the machine is running (safety zone). When necessary,
use ropes and warning signs to mark the safety zone.
Keep children and bystanders away while operating
this machine. Distractions can cause you to lose
control. Make sure that children, people or animals do
not enter your work area.
When the work must be carried out simultaneously by
two or more people, always check the presence and
location of the others in order to maintain a sufficient
distance between each person to guarantee safety.
Keep the work area clean and work with good lighting.
Only use this machine in daylight or good artificial

Inspect and remove all objects that could damage you
or the machine.
Inspect the work area and remove all stones, wood,
cables, and foreign objects that could be thrown by
the cutting tool.
2.4. ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Use only Garland batteries for this machine. Use only
the Garland charger to charge Garland batteries. Use
of a different battery or charger may cause the battery
to explode and a fire hazard.
Be sure to connect the charger to a 230V 50Hz DC
power source.
The electrical plug of the charger of this machine
must match the base of the socket.
Never modify the plug in any way. Unmodified plugs
and matching bases will reduce the risk of electric
shock.
When using the battery charger, avoid body
contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes,
radiators, electric ranges, and refrigerators. There
is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is
grounded.
Do not expose this machine, charger or
battery to rain or wet conditions. The water
entering them will increase the risk of
electric shock.
Do not abuse the cord. Do not use the cord to carry,
lift or unplug the charger. Keep cord away from heat,
oil, sharp edges, or moving parts. Damaged or tangled
cables increase the risk of electric shock.
Never use this charger with a damaged cord or plug.
Before connecting the charger, check the plug and
cable for damage. If you discover any damage, send
your machine to a technical service for repair. If the
cord is damaged or broken, unplug immediately.
Damaged or tangled cables increase the risk of
electric shock.
The replacement of the plug or the power cord should
always be done by the manufacturer or its technical
assistance service. It is recommended to connect this
charger to a residual differential device whose trip
current is less than or equal to 30mA.
Never use a damaged docking station, which
does not meet the standards or requirements for this
charger.
Disconnect the charger from the mains when not
in use to prevent damage in the event of a mains
overload.
Charge the battery only with the charger supplied
with the machine, in a dry place with a temperature
between 0º C and 40º C.
