12.2 Wireless LAN Connection
SPM250 has WiFi optional connection by using the Wireless LAN Adaptor from Sveon (it is not included). Connect the
Wireless LAN Adaptor to one of the USB Host ports of the unit located in its rear panel. After doing the connection, follow
these steps to complete the configuration of the wireless connection of the unit.
In the Main Menu select the option "Settings", "Network" and "Wireless Setup". You can find different connection profiles.
Select one of them and choose between "Infraestructure (AP)" connection or "Point to Point (Ad Hoc)" connection.
12.2.1 Infraestructure (AP)
1. After choosing a connection profile, select "In-
fraestructure (AP)" option.
2. The unit will scann the available networks.
3. Select a network and enter the password (WEP,
WPA) using the virtual keyboard wich will appear.
Select "OK (SKey)" to confirm and press "Enter"
button of the remote control to save the changes.
4. Ifyour network hasn´t a password assigned, select the SSID of the network without password to conncect to it and press
"Enter " button of the remote control. The device will be connected automatically to this network without ask for a pass-
word.
Note: If the network has a WEP password please note this password must be in Hex code. For example: if your password
is 12345 in ASCII code, in Hex code this password will be 3132333435. To make easier this conversion, the CD Driver pro-
vided with the unit includes a special software to convert the passwords from ASCII to Hex code.
If your password is WPA or WPA2, the conversor is not needed.
