Operating the electric tool
for a first time
- Check if the data on the nameplate
correspond with the actual voltage of the
power supply.
- The electric tools with rated voltage 230 V
may be also connected to 220 V.
- Fusing for 230 V: 16 A slow-action fuse or
equivalent automatic circuit breaker.
- Use only extension cords with a cross section
2
of 3 x 2,5 mm , max. 50 m length.
- When the electric tool is used outdoors, use
only extension cords intended for outdoor use
and so marked.
- Connection to a standby unit or generator:
minimum power 5 kVA / 230 V, 50 Hz.
Operation
Operating controls and adjusting means
(Figures 1 and 2)
Important:
- First familiarize yourself with the operating
controls and adjusting means of the electric
tool.
- The sawing unit is hinged to the guide plate
(1) on both sides and may be tilted up to 60°
against the guide plate.
- The electric tool is guided by the two
favourably shaped handles (2, 3).
- To switch the electric tool on, the interlock
which prevents unintentional starting must be
released first. To do this, press the lock-off
button (4) and the switch actuator (5) on the
handle at the same time.
Cutting depth adjustment
- Loosen both the locking levers (6, 7);
- Set the desired cutting depth according to the
scale (8) by raising or lowering the spring-
loaded sawing unit;
- Retighten both the locking levers.
Mitre cutting (bevel adjustment)
1 and 2)
- Loosen both the locking levers (9, 10);
- Tilt the sawing unit to the desired angle
according to the scale (11) and retighten both
the locking levers;
- Fix the rip fence (12) to amend bearing
surface of the guide plate;
- Adjust the cutting depth (see the cutting depth
diagram located on the motor housing).

Working with the saw (Figures 1 and 2)
Attention must be paid that the following
conditions are met:
- The workpiece is safely supported and
clamped if necessary;
- Movement of the power supply cord is not
restricted in any way;
- The pendulum safety guard is in proper
position and freely movable;
- The saw blade which is suitable for the
intended application is used.
After the circular saw adjustment is completed,
the electric tool may be plugged into a mains
socket.
- Place the saw with the front part of the guide
plate on the workpiece, such that the
pendulum safety guard is still freely movable.
- As the saw is switched on and pushed
forward, the movable safety guard (13) will
open and uncover the saw blade (14).
- Upon completion of the cut, the movable
safety guard returns automatically to its
parking position and covers the saw blade.
- After the work is finished, switch the electric
tool off by releasing the switch actuator.
- To open the movable safety guard manually,
press the lever (15) down.
- When the electric tool becomes overloaded,
the red indicator light (16) appears with the
intensity proportional to overload rate, and the
motor is stopped if overload reaches higher
value.
- Pull the electric tool back to release the saw
blade and quit holding of the switch actuator;
then the motor may be switched again.
- For sawing along a marked line, use the
gauge mark (17) on the guide plate (for
90°/30°/45°/60°).
- For straight parallel cutting, use either the rip
(Figure 2)
fence (12) or a guide rail (18 - Figure 4).
- In closed rooms, this electric tool should only
be operated with a dust extraction device
connected.

Dust extraction

(Figures
When working with wood for a long period or for
industrial use when cutting materials which
produce harmful dust, this electric power tool
must be connected to a suitable external dust
extraction device (connection tube diameter
50 mm), using the dust extraction adapter (19).
