1.3 Purchaser responsibilities
Purchaser is responsible for a correct installation of the indexer in conformity with the above mentioned
reference rules.

2. Technical features
2.1 Dimensions, centre of gravity and weights
Plase refer to table IP01 for overall dimensions, indicative positions to determine relevant gravity centre
and weights.
The values indicated in the above table correspond to standard indexers, therefore in case of special
indexers (e.g. motorization presetting, motor-driven indexers, indexers equipped with special shafts or
other accessories) they must be reconsidered on a case by case basis.
In particular, position "X" refers to input drive shaft overall dimensions for special version indexers
responding to the widest variety of requirements.
2.2 Noise
Acoustic pressure continuous level is lower than 70 dB.
3. Installation
3.1 Storage
Indexers must be stored in a dry room and indexer handling surfaces which have not been painted must
be spread with antioxidant protective oil.
3.2 Handling
In case of particulary heavy indexers, is carried out by means of eyebolts in conformity with UNI ISO
2947 standard.
Refer the table IP02 for the number of eyebolts required, the dimension and the distance between the
indexer casing threaded holes for lifting devices anchoring.
3.3 Setup
The indexer must be fastened to a rigid and stable support by means of at screws to be tightened into the
supporting surface threaded holes as indicated in table IP03.
In particular, IP-165, IP-200, IP-250 and IP-315 series indexers are equipped with through holes instead
of threaded holes unless their external dimensions are not adequate.
3.4 Starting
3.4.1 Ambient temperature
Temperature must range from 0 to 60 C°
3.4.2 Oil plug replacement
Before starting operation, indexers spread with lube oil need replacement of oil filler plug (black colour)
with the vent plug specifically supplied with the indexer.
