1. COR.
a) Noise operation (default) "carrier squelch"
• Connect pin 1 and 2 of JP1 and open JP2
• Adjust R7 "COR" until D4 lights off (green LED).
b) Voltage change operation mode "COS" (the EDM-3 allows from 3 to 20 volts range).
• Connect pin 2 and 3 of JP1.
• For positive COR close jumper wire of JP2.
• For negative COR open jumper wire of JP2.
Note: there are radios which COR/COS output is an open collector so, a pull-up
resistor is required (47K resistor is OK).
2. Audio Input Gain ( R12 ).
a) Using an RF generator, provide an RF signal modulated with 1 khz tone and an audio
deviation according to the system used (+/- 5 khz for 25 khz channel separation
radios or +/- 2.5 khz for 12.5 khz channel separation radios).
b) Adjust R12 to get 1-Volt peak to peak measured at TP1.
3. Transmission Audio Deviation Adjust (R19).
• Use R19 to get the correct audio deviation, according to the radio manufacturer
specs.
