Voice Mail Message(s) Recovery:
When the EDM-3 receives the first message, the RX LED stays on until the end of the
message, after that, the RX LED starts flashing indicating that the EDM-3 has a
message in the buffer. The EDM-3 will continue recording messages until the 70
seconds limit is reached. If the unit reaches the 70 seconds, and a new message is
received, this one will be discarded automatically.
To recover the message(s) just press the PWR button and at this moment the EDM-3
will transmit the first message. To recover the others, just press the PWR button again.
You can repeat this, as many times as wanted.
Networking:
When the link mode (networking) is required in our communication system, we have to
mention that the EDM-3 needs a couple of seconds delay between the massage
reception and message reply. We have to keep in mind that we are using a simplex
repeater. If we wait a couple of seconds, then we can guarantee a good performance of
the system.
Assume that we have two EDM-3 in our system and a 10 second message is sent by
every side of the system.
10 sec message + 10 sec ECHO +10 sec retransmission2 + 2 sec wait + 10 sec
message reply + 10 sec ECHO (2) + 10 sec message reception.
We can notice that 32 seconds after our echo is heard, we will listen the message reply.
Message reply = T_msg_1 + 2T_msg_2 + T_wait
where:
T_msg_1 = originator message time.
T_msg_2 = reply message time.
T_wait = delay time between RX and TX.
