Test procedure

7.1 Initial configuration

Please check that the cartridge holder is safely inserted in the two stainless steel notches
inside the machine.
The clamp is inserted horizontally in its two notches above the cartridge holder.
The Neptune instrument is ready for use.

7.2 Strip loading

Always check the expiry dates of the kit (see logo
loading of the strips. The Neptune instrument controls the expiry dates during the reading of
the barcodes of the strips, but also of the cartridges. If the validity date is expired, the
Neptune instrument indicates « Strips Expired » or « Reag's Expired » and the test is
annulated.
7.2.1 Adjustment of the number of strips
After initialization of the motors, the touchscreen indicates a number of strips. This number
has to be adapted by the user according to the number of tests that he wishes to carry out.
The value indicated by default is 24. The number can be modified by pressing the up and down
arrows (
or
).
7.2.2 Insertion of the strips into the clamp
The use of gloves is strongly recommended at this step in order to avoid
touching the strips directly with the fingers.
Remove the clamp from its emplacement in the machine and hold it in one hand, in an
horizontal position (numbers on the clamp facing the user). In fact, when the clamp is held like
this, it automatically falls into the « open » position.
With your other hand, insert the strips, numbered side (containing also a 2D barcode) facing
the user).
