7.6 Barcode reading of the cartridges

Once that all the cartridges are loaded, press
to start the reading of the barcodes.
A blue LED lights for each correctly read barcode. Each LED functions for the cartridge
positioned in front of it.
NB: The barcode reader only reads the barcodes from position 1 to x (where x represents the
number of strips as given and registered at the step 7.2.)
The touchscreen monitors the protocol that is being read in the third line, under each
respective strip/cartridge position indicated in the first line and the strip reading protocol in the
second line (read in 7.4) (see screen image hereunder). If a number is displayed in the second
line, this means that the barcode has been read correctly.
Go to step 7.7.
In the event of a non-compatibility between a strip and a cartridge, the test is automatically
cancelled and the touchscreen displays "Invalid setup. Download data?"

In the case of no reading of a strip barcode, the screen displays "Strips missing, Reload?". The
LED will flicker at the position where the strips were not read. It is possible to re-start the

reading of the barcodes of the missing strips by pressing on
: this will bring the user back to
the loading of strips at the step 7.2. If the strip barcode still cannot be read, the strip is
probably not aligned correctly. In this case or if the barcode of the strip is really illegible, it is
nevertheless possible to "force" the passing to the following step by pressing on the key
:
this brings the user to the step 7.7.
In the event of no reading of a cartridge barcode, the LED will flicker once the reading is
finished. On the touchscreen, the number of the Protocol will not be displayed and the
touchscreen displays « Reag's missing, Reload? ».
