10.2 Packing Instructions
The procedure hereunder is a guide to pack the Neptune instrument and to store it
correctly.
Please only use the especially developed and adapted double box and protective foams of
the Neptune Instrument for packing.
Do not use other boxes for packing, as this may lead to damage of the Neptune
Instrument. If the original external or internal transport box of the instrument is missing
or has been accidentally destroyed, please contact your distributor for a replacement or
write to the following address:
1. Check the cleanliness of the machine prior to packing (see Decontamination
procedure 10.1).
2. To avoid any movement during transport, the clamp has to be fixed in its
emplacement with adhesive tape.
For the safety of the laboratory maintenance staff, do not send back
cartridges and/or strips with the Neptune instrument. The cartridges
and/or strips have to be treated as if potentially hazardous for the
transmission of infectious diseases.
3. Put the machine into secured configuration.
Plug in and switch on the Neptune instrument. The touch screen will briefly
display the following icon. Please click on the lorry icon.
NB : If you were too late to click on the lorry icon, please switch off the
instrument, then switch it on again and retry.
