The first line displays the initial position of the strips on the y axis (back and front movement).
The second line allows the modification of this initial position.
If the strips have to be moved toward the operator to be in concordance to the reference
holes, please press on
If however, the strips have to be moved to the back, please press on
line value.
These modifications can be observed by the operator as the motion is on realtime and by steps
of 0,1 mm.

7.4 Barcode reading of the strips
Once the alignment is checked and correct, press
The strips are completely lowered into the reference holes, and the barcode reader located at
the back of the Neptune instrument starts reading the barcode of each inserted strip.
A blue LED lights for each correctly read barcode. Each LED functions for the strip positioned in
front of it.
NB : The barcode reader only reads the barcodes from position 1 to x (where x represents the
number of strips as given and registered at the step 7.2.
The touchscreen monitors the protocol that is being read in the second line, under each
respective strip position indicated in the first line (see screen image hereunder). If a number is
displayed in the second line, this means that the barcode has been read correctly. Go to step
7.5.
7.5 Cartridge Loading
The clamp positions itself at the back of the Neptune instrument to facilitate the loading of the
cartridges. According to the strips previously inserted, please now load their corresponding
cartridges.
Please open the cartridges prior to loading.
Load the cartridges into the holder, by first fixing the pointed end (1), then the square end (2)
and finally the small square (which will ensure total fixing total) (see drawing hereunder).
