1. Introduction
The incubator of this model is specially studied to obtain, with a simple operation, optimal
performances of incubation, enabling also the double use as artificial brooder.
It is therefore a product that, with its simplicity of operation, meets the particular needs of the
customer, presenting itself as a device that uses the most advanced technological choices and
achieves a very high level of quality. The version guarantees perfect insulation and robustness to the
machine and the materials used are of high quality (abs for the lower part and transparent pvc for
the upper part). The thermoregulator with decimal precision probe allows a safe regulation of the
temperature, which can be accurately measured thanks to the thermometer in Fahrenheit (°F). The
heating is guaranteed by a resistance cable protected and covered with silicone rubber type
"SILASTIC 5501". Moreover, this machine is entirely made of treated materials that allow an easy and
complete cleaning and guarantee a constant temperature inside the machine; the solutions adopted
are the result of the long experience of FIEM, which has been marketing high quality incubators for
many years. Although this is a machine intended for non-professional use, during the design phase,
safety aspects were not neglected, which is certainly the strong point of the model.
2. Basics of operation
Before getting down to the real work, we recommend that you examine the technical and safety
aspects and characteristics guaranteed by the product, evaluating the elements and using the
manual to gradually discover its potential.
UNPACKING THE MACHINE
Take the incubator out of the packing case, remove the parts of the machine fixed with adhesive tape
inside it and check their integrity.
Check that the following items are present
- 1 User's Manual;
- 1 mercury thermometer (°C);
- 1 plane to support the grid
The incubator is also equipped with a single-phase electric cable (about 1.5 m long) with a plug for
connection to 220/230V, 50-60 Hz.
The nameplate on the back of the incubator provides information about the power consumption and
power output of the incubator.
POSITIONING, CONNECTION AND PREPARATION
The room where the unit is to be installed should be sufficiently ventilated, dry and have a constant
temperature of 18-25° C.1 The incubator should be placed on a stable, non-tilted surface and, if
possible, close to an easily accessible power outlet. For the connection to the mains, use only
earthed sockets.
NOTE: The manufacturer declines all responsibility for improper use, improper location, connection
to unauthorized equipment or modification by unauthorized personnel.
For a correct assembly of the thermometer, in order to avoid easy breakage, it is necessary to insert
the thermometer in the special support placed inside the transparent cover.
