Connection of the Ethernet/RS422-RS485 converter to the Ethernet
Note: When connecting and installing the Ethernet/RS422-RS485 converter, it is required to
consult the responsible network administrator. The BINDER service hotline is available for
questions about the installation, provided that the Ethernet/RS422-RS485 converter has been
purchased via the BINDER GmbH.
Connect the 24V AC power supply unit to the Ethernet/RS422-RS485 converter.
(The plug-type connection is protected against reverse supply connection). Plug-in the power
supply unit to a wall outlet appropriate to the connection data of the power supply unit's type
plate. The green LED (POWER) at the Ethernet/RS422-RS485 converter must be illuminated.
The red Error LED flashes.
Use the PATCH cable (3 m) included in the scope of delivery to connect the socket of the
Ethernet/RS422-RS485 converter indicated as "NETWORK" to an RJ 45 outlet of the Ethernet
network close to the temperature chamber(s). If the network connection is correct, the red LED
must not flash.
