8. Driver installation for the Ethernet/RS422-RS485 converter for Windows NT4,
2000, XP
The last step of the Ethernet/RS422-RS485 converter installation is to establish a logical
connection of the previously assigned fix IP address to a COM port of the controlling and
evaluation computer on which APT-COM™ or other customer data acquisition software is
running.
For this the driver delivered on CD is needed.
The driver is installed on the computer through an installation set-up. Start the file "Setup.exe" in
the following directories, depending on the operating system.
For Windows 2000, X, and NT4:
For Windows 95,98, and ME:
The set-up automatically leads though all installation steps.
The Setup installs the icon "COM Port Redirector" in the Windows Control Panel.
When clicking on this icon a dialogue window "W&T COM Port Redirector" opens for further
driver settings.
