Controls

Engine On/Off Switch
Use the engine On/Off switch to shut the engine off.
Ensure that the switch is in the O
starting the engine.
Fuel-Valve Lever
Move the lever for the fuel valve to the O
before attempting to start the engine. After operation,
shut off the engine and move the fuel-valve lever to
the O position.

Throttle Control
The throttle controls the engine speed, and it has a
continuous-variable setting.
Operate the machine using full throttle for best
performance.
Choke Lever
Move the choke lever on the engine to the C
position when initially starting a cold engine, then
move it into the R
Drive-Mode Selector
Shift the drive-mode selector lever to the desired
mode to change the transmission.
Important:
Do not shift the drive-mode selector

lever while engaging the forward or reverse
control levers.

Standard-rotating tines (SRT): The wheels and
tines are both engaged with the engine; the tines
spin in the same direction as the wheels. Use this
mode for established garden beds and tilling in
soft soil conditions.
