Charging the Battery
WARNING:
The battery contains corrosive fluid
and toxic material - HANDLE WITH CARE. Keep away
from children. Do not puncture, disassemble,
mutilate, or incinerate. Explosive gases could be
vented during charging or discharging. Use in a well
ventilated area, away from sources of ignition.
Charge the mower for 14 hours before initial use. Charge
mower indoors in a dry area out of the weather. DO NOT charge
in rain or wet locations.
IMPORTANT: Use only the battery charger provided with this
mower (Part number 725-04387).
Plug the battery charger into the mower first, and then into any
standard 110/120 volt household electrical outlet. See Fig. 3-8 for
battery charging location on mower.
Figure 3-8
NOTE: If an extension cord is required, use one that is at least
wire size 16 AWG. Connect the extension cord to charger before
plugging extension cord into electrical outlet.
IMPORTANT: Always recharge mower fully. It takes 14 hours to
recharge a completely discharged battery. A flashing light on the
battery charger indicates battery is charging; a solid green light
indicates battery is fully charged. A full charge will be achieved in
less than 14 hours if the batteries were only partially discharged.
NOTE: It is recommended that the mower be charged once every
two months during storage.
IMPORTANT: Always disconnect battery charger (or extension
cord, if used) from the electrical outlet first, then disconnect
battery charger from mower.
