Emission of sound
The sound level of the unit is smaller as 70 db (A) meas-
ured at standard load conforming EN 60974 at the max.
workpoint.

UVV(regulation for prevention
of accidents) inspection
Depending on the operation, users of commercially
operated welding systems are obliged to have safety
inspections of the equipment carried out regularly in ac-
cordance with EN 60974-4. Lorch recommends inspec-
tion periods of 12 months.
A safety inspection must also be carried out after altera-
tions or repair of the system.
! Caution ! : Improperly carried out UVV in-
spections can destroy the system.
For more information on UVV inspections of
welding systems, please contact your au-
thorized Lorch service center.

Electromagnetic compatibility
(EMC)
This product is manufactured conform to the current
EMC standard. Please notice following items:
Due to their high power consumption, welding ma-
chines can cause problems in the public power grid.
The mains connection is therefore subject to require-
ments with regard to the maximum permissible sys-
tem impedance. The maximum permissible system
impedance (Zmax) of the interface to the power grid
(mains connection) is indicated in the technical data.
If in doubt, please contact your power grid operator.
The unit is for welding under commercial or industrial
conditions (CISPR 11 class A). The use in other sur-
roundings (for example in residential areas) may dis-
turb other electric devices.
During welding electromagnetic problems can be
caused at:
– Mainscables, controlcables, connections for tel-
ecommunication
– TV/Radio
– Computer and other similar devices
– Protection devises as for example alarm systems
– Pacemakers and hearing aids
– Devices for measure and calibrate
– Devices with less protection against disturbances
- 22 -
If other devices are disturbed it may be necessary to
protect additionally.
The affected area can be bigger than your premises/
property depends of the building etc.
Please use the unit conform to the instructions of the
manufacturer. The user is responsible for installa-
tion and use of the machine. Furthermore the user is
responsible to eliminate the disturbances caused by
electromagnetic fields.
10 Transportation and set up
Danger of injury due to the device fall-ing
over and crashing.
Always pull the mains plug before trans-port.
Carry the machine using the shoulder strap 1
and keep it horizontally.
Do not use a fork-lift truck or similar device to
lift the machine by its housing.
Set up the device onto an even, horizontal,
and dry surface. The maximum admissible
angle of inclination for setting up or trans-
porting is 10°.
Take care that the ventilation slots are freely accessible.
