14 Starting up
Make sure before turning-on, that the elec-
trode holder, electrode do not touch on the
welding table, the working piece or any other
object which is conductive. Oth-erwise an arc
will be ignited accidentally. An accidentally
ignited arc can damage the electrode holder,
the welding table, the working piece or the
machine.
14.1 Electrode welding process
Switch on machine
 Turn on the machine at mains switch 2.
 Press key button 18 until the selected electrode mode
appears.
9 Symbol for electode basic, rutile or CEL (LED 15, 16
or 17) will light up.
 Set the required welding current with turning knob 13.
Ignition
 Touch the workpiece with the tip of the electrode and
lift the electrode a bit.
9 The arc ignites between the workpiece and electrode.

14.2 TIG welding process
Switch on machine
 Turn on the machine at mains switch 2.
 Press key 18 for 2 seconds.
9 TIG Symbol (LED 14) will light up.
 Set the required welding current with turning knob 13.
Ignition
 Open the valve 56 at the TIG torch
 Touch the workpiece with the tip of the electrode.

 Lift the electrode a bit.

9 The arc ignites between the workpiece and electrode.
Upslope
For the TIG welding process, a short circuit of 60A is
used. The current increase follows with 115A/s until
the adjusted welding curren is reached.
