Place the saw chain (3) around the blade (2).
Make sure that the teeth and arrows on the
saw chain point in the direction of rotation.
Tighten the saw chain so that its link engages
in the groove on the blade, forming a loop
behind the blade.
Place the saw chain around the gearwheel
(a) and place the blade down against the
pruning saw so that the chain tensioner bolt
(b) goes into the hole in the blade and the
guide spindle (c) goes into the oblong grove
on the blade.

Pull the blade outwards to tighten the saw
chain.
Put the cover (4) in place and turn the fi nger
screw clockwise to secure the cover.
Adjust the tension of the saw chain by
turning the chain tensioner knob (6) towards
the "+" or "-" symbol.
It should be possible to lift the saw chain
approximately 1-2 mm from the blade at the
middle of the blade. It should spring back
when released. The saw chain must not be
hanging down beneath the blade.
Lubricate the saw chain and blade by
dripping a few drops of chain oil into the
groove on the blade.
