MAINTENANCE PROGRAM

It is important to conduct regular maintenance in accordance with the following.
Checks and repairs should be documented in a journal. One is supplied on Page 7.
This should include: date of inspection or repair, check status, repairs carried out and information as to who
carried out the inspection or made the repairs.
Inspections, service and repairs must be carried out by a competent person.
Every day
17. Check that the wheels are secure, stable and turning freely and the brakes work correctly.
18. Check that the battery is charged
19. Check the Tool securing pin is properly engaged.
20. Check for excessive noise or vibration or other signs of faults.
Every 3 months
1. Check the chassis stand with regard to all types of cracks, distortions, corrosion, etc.
2. Check that all labels are in place
3. Remove front cover from the Mast and lightly grease the Ball Screw.
Every 12 months
Torros supports the European LOLER 1998 regulations, with reference to the LOLER 1998 Annual
Inspection Directive and in accordance with the Health & Safety Executive Guidance HS (9) 6.
Labels
Ensure that all labels are clear (Section 12.)
Chassis
Inspect Welds
Check all 4 wheels contact the ground
Check no parts of the machine are bent or damaged
Check Covers fit and are secure
Ball Screw Drive
Check audibly for abnormal sounds
Check smooth running – no excessive vibration
Grease lightly with EP2 or other light grease
Check the top bearing is not loose
Pack the base bearings with EP2 or other light grease
Check the Carriage is centrally aligned and not rubbing on any part of the mast
Motor
Check audibly for that the Electromechanical brake clicks On and Off when starting and stopping
Wheels
Check wheels roll freely
Check brakes (rear wheels only) operate
Electrics
Check Handset is in good condition
Check E-Stop
Load Test
Perform an operational Load Test according to the SWL of the machine under test conditions.
10. CLEANING
Do not pressure wash the unit. Clean with a suitable stainless steel cleaner.
The Controls and Battery Meter are fully waterproof IP67.
