3 - Calibration
The calibration allows to measure the boiling point of a standard wine to calibrate the disk or the calcula-
tion software and initialize the atmospheric pressure sensor. This operation must be repeated each time the
device is turned on.
• Rinsing
- Check that the drain valve is correctly closed.
- Refill the boiler with the standard wine to the bottom of the condenser.
Then empty the boiler using the drain valve.
• Boiling point of the standard wine
- Refill the boiler to the bottom of the meniscus above the red line.
- Turn on the instrument using the on/off switch.
The main screen appears.
- Let cold water circulate into the condenser, with a regular flow, not
excessive.
- Press the heating button during

The heating (shown by the symbol ) lasts about 7 minutes, during which
the temperature rise can be seen on the screen.
To stop heating during the operation, press again on the heating button.
- When the boiling temperature is stable, the device makes a beep to
indicate the end of the measurement. Heating stops automatically.

- Press briefly the heating button to come back to the main screen. The
device is ready for a sample measurement.

Calibrate the disc as indicated in the picture opposite.
Model 160350T with traditional thermometer :
Press the heating button 5 seconds to launch heating. When the wine is boiling, check on the thermometer
that the temperature is stable (after 1 to 2 minutes). Once it is stable, record the boiling temperature T
Turn off the heating using the heating switch. Adjust the disk or the programme as indicated above.
Repeat calibration every 2 hours.
