Before starting

DANGER
Carbon monoxide.
The application of a generator in buildings can
LEAD TO DEATH WITHIN MINUTES. The exhaust fumes from the generator
contain carbon monoxide (CO). This is an invisible odorless poison. If the exhaust
fumes of the generator can be smelled, CO is being inhaled. Even if no exhaust
fumes can be smelled, CO could still be being inhaled.
1.
Read and understand the safety and operator's manual at the start of these
operating instructions.

Read and understand all statements of the safety and warning signs.

Starting

Disconnect all connections from the generator
2.
Open fuel shut-off valve (a).
Comment: Close the choke (b) if the engine is cold (pull out). Open the choke if
the engine is warm (push).
3.
Put the engine switch in the "ON" position (c1) and pull the starter rope (d).
Comment: Do not start the engine if the oil level is low. In this case, check the
engine oil level and top off if necessary.
4.
Open the choke while the engine is warming up (b).
5.
Put main circuit breaker in closed position (e1). Allow the engine to warm up
for a few minutes before connecting electrical equipment.
 
Engine oil level.
