WARNINGS
* The appliance is not intended for use by
young children or infirm persons without
supervision.
The air sucked can't be conveyed throu-
gh or into a duct used to let out fumes
from appliances fed by energy other than
electric power (e.g. centralized heating sy-
stems , radiators, water-heaters, etc.).
*To evacuate the sucked air, please comply
with the relevant rules given by competent
authorities.
* Provide the room with adequate aeration
when a cooker hood and appliances fed by
energy other than electric power (gas-, oil-,
or coal- stoves, etc.) are used simultaneou-
sly. The cooker hood, when evacuating the
sucked air, could generate a negative pres-
sure in the room, which can't exceed the limit
of 0.04 mbar, in order to avoid the suck of
exhaust gas deriving from the heat-source.
Therefore, the room should be provided with
suitable air-intakes that will allow a constant
flow of fresh air.
*When performing the electrical connections
on the appliance, please make sure that the
socket is provided with earth connection and
that supply voltage values correspond to tho-
se mentioned on the rating label placed insi-
de the appliance itself.
Before carrying out any cleaning or maintai-
ning operations, the appliance needs to be
disconnected from the supply mains.
*If the appliance is not provided with a non-
separable flexible cable and plug, or with
another device ensuring omnipolar discon-
nection from the mains, with an opening
distance between the contacts of at least 3
mm, then such disconnecting devices shall be
supplied in case of fixed installation.
If the appliance is equipped with a power cord
and a plug, it shall be installed in such a way
that the plug can be easily reached.
*The use of materials which can burst into
flames should be avoided in close proxi-
mity of the appliance. When frying, please
pay particular attention to fire risk due to
oil and grease. Being highly inflammable,
fried oil is especially dangerous. Do not
use uncovered electric grills.
In order to avoid any possible fire risk, all
instructions for grease-filter cleaning and
for removing any grease deposits should
be strictly followed.
The appliance can operate in both filtering
and sucking mode.
In the filtering version, the air and fumes
conveyed by the appliance are purified by
both a grease filter and a charcoal filter – the
latter is not supplied with the appliance - and
are then recirculated into the room.
In the sucking version, the air is directly con-
veyed to the outside.
The appliance in the EM (external motor)
version, is suitable only for built-in installa-
tion, placing it in a specific recess to be made
accordingly to the instructions given in this
manual.
The appliance in the internal motor version,
is suitable for both built-in and freestanding
installation.
Please read carefully all of the following
installation instructions.
- Use an exhausting pipe whose maximum
length does not exceed 5 meters.
- Limit the no. of elbows in the piping, since
each elbow reduces the air capacity of 1 linear
meter. (Ex.: if you use no. 2 x 90 °elbows, the
length of piping must not exceed 3 meters).
- Avoid abrupt direction changes.
- Use a 150/200 mm constant diameter pipe
for the whole length.
- Use piping approved by relevant standards
in force.
INSTALLATION
Before starting any installation operations,
please make sure that the package is intact
and all the components are not damaged;
otherwise do not carry out the installation
and contact your dealer.
The manufacturer declines any liability for
damages caused during installation.
Before installing the appliance, read all
these instructions carefully.
