4 Installation and Putting into Operation
4.1 Selecting the location
Optimal location ensures accurate and reliable operation of the accessory.
Requirements of the location
Place indoors on stable
table
Sufficient distance: > 15 cm all around the accessory.
Take into account the environmental conditions. See "Technical Data".
Note
Do not place the accessory on the same working surface with instruments that are sensitive to vibrations.
4.2 Unpacking the accessory
Check the package, the packaging elements and the delivered components for damages. If any components
are damaged, please contact your METTLER TOLEDO service representative.
Unpacking accessory
Proceed as follows to unpack the accessory:
1 Open the packaging box.
2 Remove the package lifting it on the belt strap.
3 Remove the belt strap around the foam elements.
4 Remove the polystyrene element on the top of the accessory.
5 Unpack the feeder plate and the plastic cover.
6 Remove the upper foam element.
7 Lift and remove the accessory from the lower foam element.
8 Remove the belt strap fixing the accessory.
9 Check the accessory for transportation damages or missing parts.
10 To assemble the accessory, proceed as described in [Assembling the accessory Page 12].
METTLER TOLEDO recommends retaining all parts of the packaging. The packaging offers the best protection
for transporting the accessory over long distances.
