Often, play cars in kindergartens provide play for a maximum of four children. beleduc decided to develop a play bus which
would make it possible for more children to join in and play together. The result was our MultiMOBIL, in the form of an
American style school bus, which is made up of two separable sections.
The two sections of the bus provide numerous functions. Thus for instance both halves of our MultiMOBIL can be placed
separately in the room and used for seating /storage, for optimum arrangement of the group room.
Seating is provided by the driver's cab seat and the back seat. If both bus
sections are placed separately in the room, the 'engine bonnet' can be used
for seating as well.
The grip hole in the bonnet enables it to be easily opened. The 'engine com-
partment' has two same-size compartments which can be used to store all
necessary play accessories. There is a built-in damping mechanism which
makes the bonnet easier to open, while ensuring than children's hands do
not get trapped by the lid falling suddenly.

Our MultiMOBIL offers children numerous educational possibilities. It especially
supports social competences, since the children discuss, negotiate and organise the
various play possibilities. Following the holiday season, you can pick out some holiday
destinations and "travel" to different countries with your group. The special regional
features of the children's homeland also offer a wide field for investigation.
Together with the children, compile a "Travel Diary" in which the children can stick

photos of interesting sights, regional cookery and other typical features.
