1. Checking the device
Before using the device, please check it to make sure it is wor-
king properly
A/ Before testing the voltage / AC continuity
Set the selector switch to position
II (3), open the metal detector
sensor (1) as shown, touch the
metal plate 2 (7) with your left
thumb while using a finger on
your free hand to touch the metal
plate 1 (5). If the LED lights up
and the buzzer sounds, this means
that the device is working properly.
B/ Before detecting metal objects
Set the selector switch to position I
(3), slowly adjust the sensitivity cursor
(2) until the LED light
goes out and the buzzer stops
(this is the maximum sensitivity
position for metal detecting).
Move the metal detector sensor
(1) close to a known
metal object. The detector is
working properly if the LED indicator
lights up and an alarm sound is heard.
