4/ Reduce the sensitivity to an
appropriate level by turning the
cursor.
5/ In relation to the zero line, the live
wire may cause the device to emit
a signal at a longer distance.
• Detecting where a wire is broken
The method to be used here is similar
to the previous method. To locate the
place where a wire is broken, adjust
the sensitivity to an appropriate lower
level. The light and sound signals will
stop at the point where the break is
located.
• Checking if the outer metal housing of an electrical device is
connected to an earth wire
1/ Set the sensor to "II" (3).
Do not open the metal detector.
2/ Turn the sensitivity cursor (2)
to the maximum position.
3/ Move the AC voltage detection
zone of the device (9) close to an
electrical appliance such as a
microwave, an electric kettle,
a radiator, a pressure cooker,
a washing machine, etc.
The LED lights up and the buzzer
sounds if the appliance is not
connected to an earth wire.
