• Checking a hair-dryer
The method is the same as
above. Move the device close
to a hair-dryer which is switched
off. The LED lights up and the
buzzer sounds if the plug is
incorrectly inserted, or the live
wire is incorrectly connected or
the live wire is incorrectly
connected to the plug.
C/ Continuity and continuous polarity test
Caution: ensure the power supply is switched off.
Swivel the metal sensor between 90° and 180°.
Set the selector switch to "II" (3).
• Polarity test of a battery (6-36 V DC)
Use your left thumb to touch the
metal test plate 2 (7). Touch one of
the battery terminals with the thumb
of your other hand, whilst the other
battery terminal must be touching
the metal test plate 1 (5).
The LED lights up and the buzzer
sounds.
Note: to avoid any interference keep away
from the electromagnetic field.
• Testing a fuse
Use your left thumb to touch the metal test plate 2 (7). Touch
one side of the fuse with a finger on your free hand, whilst
