Before Using Your Breast Pump

The Parts of Your Pump
Take a minute to locate and become familiar with the various parts of your Evenflo
manual pump.
Membrane
Piston Seal
Valve
Flange Insert
Memory Flex Fastener
If you are missing parts, do not use this pump and call our Parent's Ally Resource

Disassembling Your Pump
IMPORTANT: Before using your breast pump, disassemble and sanitize thoroughly.

Remove the bottle and valve from
the pump.
Remove the membrane from the
valve.

Disconnect and remove the Memory
Flex fastener.

Lift up the handle to unsnap it from
the flange.
Note: When removing the handle for
the first time, it may require extra force.
(You will need to pull hard in an upward
motion in order to disconnect it.)
Sanitizing Pump Parts
IMPORTANT! Wash your hands well with soap and water before handling pump parts.
Place disassembled pump parts in a
pan of boiling water for 5 minutes.
Stir frequently and do not allow parts
to rest at the bottom of the pot as they
can melt and become damaged.
After Every Use
Rinse all parts in cool water to remove milk residue. Hand wash with warm,
soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and air dry before assembly. You may also wash
your pump parts (after rinsing) on the top rack of your dishwasher. Use care
when handling the valve/membrane assembly during cleaning to avoid damage.

Remove the piston from the handle,
then remove the piston seal from the
piston.
Allow parts to air dry on a clean surface.
