Tow bar – electrical installation
The accessories are intended for professional fitting. ŠKODA AUTO recommends that they are
fitted by a contractual partner.
Note. The figures in the instructions provide general
mounting information. They may differ slightly from the
installation positions for each vehicle.
The set is intended for left- and right-hand drive vehicles that were
manufactured as of CW 22/2014 and that are not equipped with the
tow bar preparation. The electrical installation set for the tow bar
(order no. 5E0 055 204) is to be reordered for this set.

Mounting procedure

When fitting the components, the vehicle battery should be disconnected (in vehicles with a
coded radio, first request the code).
Note. The tow bar's wiring harness from the set with order
no. 5E0 055 204 must first be fitted in the vehicle.
Only connect the black plug from the set to the control unit plug for
the tow bar. The remaining plugs that are missing belong to the tow
bar's wiring harness (order no. 5E0 055 204A).
Continue with the process of fitting the electrical installation set for
the tow bar 5E0 055 204A. Observe the notes listed in the relevant
mounting instructions. Only secure the wiring harness using cable ties
once both wiring harnesses have been fitted in the vehicle.
