Refit all the components that you removed earlier and tighten the respective connections
to the specified tightening torques.
Connect the vehicle battery and carry out all steps relating to disconnecting and recon-
necting the battery.
Activate the tow bar

Carry out the guided troubleshooting.
- Activate the "Software version management (SVM)" function. In this menu, select function 3,
known as the "Conversion/retrofitting solution" – see fig. 11.
- Enter the five-digit task code (can be found in the spare parts catalogue "ETKA") and con-
firm.
- End the diagnostics in the usual manner.
If the vehicle is equipped with the "Rear parking assistant" from the
range of ŠKODA Original Accessories (or if it is to be fitted), this is not
deactivated when reverse gear is engaged and a trailer is coupled.
Carry out a function check on the tow bar using a trailer or a tester.
When using a tester, it is recommended that the tester simulates the
actual electrical load which would occur when a trailer is coupled.
