INSTALLATION - GT HARDWARE LINK

Adding a Link to GT Hardware.
Note: The provided extra link may be used to reach extreme positions.
WARNING: Adding additional links to the hardware may reduce the overall strength

Remove the screw (D) and the safety
washer (E) to separate the curved link (F)
from the top of the hardware stem (C).

Remove the hardware stem (C) from the
mounting block (B) by turning the knob (A)
counterclockwise.

Turn the hardware stem (C) 180° so the
visible gear teeth are facing the opposite
direction.

Insert the hardware stem (C) into the
mounting block (B) and turn the knob (A)
clockwise to secure.
IMPORTANT! Make sure that at least ½"
of the hardware stem (C) is completely
through the bottom of mounting block (B) at
all times. See the warning in the "Important
Safety Information" section in this manual.

Align the extra link (G) with the gear teeth
on the hardware stem (C) in the orientation
shown, and fasten with the safety washer
(H) and the screw (J).

Align the other end of the extra link (G)
with the curved link (F) and fasten with the
safety washer (E) and the screw (D).

and adjustment instructions in this manual
to make final adjustments.
WARNING: Make sure that the teeth on
all link joints are properly aligned and
engaged before final tightening. Failing to do
so could cause wear on the teeth, leading to
parts slipping out of adjustment or hardware
failure. (GT Hardware only)
