Toasting Sandwiches
1. Connect the appliance to a properly installed wall socket.
2. The Red indicator light (2) lights up and the heating process starts.
3. As soon as the necessary temperature is reached the Green indicator light (3) will light up as well. Your
Sandwich Maker is now ready for operation.
4. Open the lid (1) of the appliance by pulling the fastener (5) at the handle (4) upwards.
5. Place your prepared sandwich into the sandwich maker.
Tip: To guarantee an even browning process grease either the toasting plates with some oil /
butter or butter the outside of the resp. bread or toast slices.
6. Close the lid (1) carefully until the fastener (5) locks into place. You will hear a click sound. Your sandwich
is now being toasted.
Attention: Never try to close your appliance forcefully. Remove some of the toppings in case that
the appliance cannot be closed. The toast slices should not be bigger than the toasting plates.
7. After 4 – 5 minutes your sandwich will be ready. Open the appliance and check whether your sandwich
is toasted according to your liking.
8. To remove your sandwiches use a wooden or plastic spatula to avoid damage to the non-stick coating
of the plates.
9. If you wish to prepare more sandwiches follow steps 3 – 7.
10. After use, disconnect the appliance from the mains and let it completely cool down.
Broiling
Perfect for broiling steaks, chops, Panini, etc.
1. Follow steps 1 – 4 as described under Toasting Sandwiches and make sure that you have applied some
butter or oil to the grill plates (6b).
2. Place the foods to be grilled onto the grill plates (6b).
3. Close the lid (1), do not lock the fastener (5).
4. Grill the foods to your liking and follow steps 8 – 10 as described under Toasting Sandwiches.
Baking waffles
1. Follow steps 1 – 4 as described under Toasting Sandwiches and make sure that you have applied some
butter or oil to the waffle plates (6c).
2. Fill approx. 2 – 3 table spoons of batter into the lower waffle plate. Make sure not to put too much batter,
in order to avoid overflowing.
3. Close the lid (1) carefully and do not close the fastener (5).
4. The baking process lasts approx. 8 – 10 minutes, depending on the thickness, content of the waffle
batter and of course your liking
5. Follow steps 8 -10 as described under Toasting Sandwiches.
For a better result!
• Fill batter into waffle plates quickly to produce evenly brown waffles.
• Place waffles on a cake rack to keep them crispy. Stacked waffles get soggy easily.
To turn the appliance properly off the power plug (8) must be disconnected from the mains after
each use.
During operation, an integrated thermostat switches the appliance on and off to ensure a constant
temperature. This is indicated by the Green indicator light (3) cycling on and off.
