2. ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

WARNING:
The electrical connection must be installed by a qualified technician. It is advisable (for
both three-phase and single-phase versions) to insert a high-sensitivity residual current circuit breaker
(0.03A) in the electrical wiring.
The power supply of the electric pump, which does not have a plug, must be provided by means of a
permanent connection to the electrical panel with a switch, fuses and thermal switch calibrated to the
current absorbed by the electric pump.
The mains must have an efficient earthing system, in accordance with the electrical standards in force
in the country (this is the responsibility of the installer).
If available, the plug of the single-phase version must be connected to the mains in an indoor environ-
ment away from spray, water jets or rain and in such a way that the plug is accessible.
The three-phase versions do not have a motor protector inside, so overload protection is the responsi-
bility of the user.

During connection, it is absolutely forbidden to get the terminal panel or the motor wet or
damp.

Before making the connection, check that the line voltage and frequency correspond to those indica-
ted on the nameplate.
A control panel with the following devices must be inserted between the line and the electric pump
(unless otherwise specified in the local standards).

In the single-phase version, make the connection according to the internal or external
thermo-amperometric protection "P".
In the three-phase version, after connecting the star or delta power supply cable to
the terminal board, check that the cooling fan rotates in the direction of the adhesive
arrow on the fan guard, by looking at the electric pump through the motor terminal
block. If this is not the case, reverse two of the three wires at the base of the motor.
Switch with contact opening distance of at least 3 mm.
Short-circuit protection device (fuses or magnetic-thermal circuit breaker).
A dry-running protection device is recommended and should be connected to a float,
probes or other equivalent instrument.
