Counter cutting blade
Periodic tightening of screws as well as the
adjustment of the counter cutting blades are
essential. To adjust, loosen the hex-head nut (1) as
shown in Figure 1 and move the counter-blade until
the blades are at a distance of approximately 1.5 mm
for TRP 30 and TRP 40, 2.0 mm for TRP 40G and
4.0 mm for TRP 400 (Figure 2).
The counter cutting blade shall be substituted when
worn out.

Counter cutting blade

Sharpening of cutting blades

TRAPP crushers/choppers leave the factory with
tempered blades. Sharpening time may vary
according to the material to be crushed/chopped.
Sharpen the cutting blades when the edge is dull.
Sharpen the side indicated only (Figure 3), trying to
keep its original inclination. Whenever sharpening,
be careful to remove the same amount of material
from each cutting blade to keep balance and to
avoid vibrations of the axle unit. The cutting blades
shall be substituted whenever optimum sharpening
is no longer possible.
The cutting blades shall be substituted whenever
optimum sharpening is no longer or not reach the
blade and counter-blade measure.
