7. Measurement operations
7.1. Manual and automatic measuring ranges
The meter has manual and automatic measuring ranges. In
automatic range mode, the meter selects the optimum range
for the detected input signal, so that the user does not have to
re-select a range when changing the measurement signal.
Manual range is also optional. Automatic range mode is the
default when the meter is turned on or after switching
functions, and the meter displays the sign of "AUTO". The
operation to enter or exit manual range is as follows ：
1. In automatic range mode, press
"AUTO" sign will be faded.
2. Press

Note: Connectivity, diode, capacitance, and frequency
measurement functions are available in automatic
measuring range only.
7.2. Manual and automatic ranges
If there is no operation within 15 minutes after power on, the meter
will make five short prompt tones. After one minute, the meter will
make one long prompt tone and automatically shut down.
After the automatic shutdown, if you toggle the switch or
press any of the buttons such as "FUNC.", "HOLD", etc., the
meter will resume working.
