7.4. Measurement of AC and DC currents
1. Turn the knob switch to the
the "FUNC." key to select DC or AC current
measurement.
2. Disconnect power to the circuit to be measured.
Discharge all high voltage capacitors on the circuit.
3. Disconnect the circuit to be measured. Connect the
meter in series to the circuit to be measured.
4. Connect the power to the circuit and read the
measurement results from the display. If the display
shows only "OL", it indicates that the input exceeds
the measurement range of the meter. When
measuring DC current, the display also shows the
voltage polarity of the measuring point connected to
the red probe.
5. Disconnect power to the circuit measured. Remove
the meter probes and restore the circuit to its original
state.
Warning
To prevent possible electric shock, fire or personal injury, when
measuring current, first disconnect the power of the circuit to
be measured and fully discharge all high voltage capacitors
before connecting the meter in series to the circuit.
Do not input current 200mA higher than the maximum
measurement current value, otherwise it may burn out the
fuse inside the meter.
After completing all measurement operations, disconnect the
meter probes from the circuit measured.
