The 4 channel Easy contact interface allows you to connect up to 4 input contacts, which
are without voltage and independent (buttons, switches, sensors etc.), and send the
relative commands to actuator devices using the KNX/EIB, through which it connects to
the Home Automation system.
The interface is powered by the bus line. The voltage (SELV) required to scan the contacts
is supplied by the same interface. The device is fitted with 4 outputs to connect any low-
consumption indicator LEDs (e.g. GW10 898, GW10 899) which are used to indicate the
status of the commanded charge. The 4 channel Easy contact interface can be placed:
• inside standard concealed boxes, behind the electromechanical modules.
• internally with Chorus supports, using the GW 10 751, GW 12 751, GW 14 751 hole
covers ;
• inside junction boxes.
Each of the 4 inputs on the interface can be configured using the Easy standard unit (GW
90 831) to perform, at choice, one of the following functions:
TOGGLE
This activates or deactivates electrical loads, such as for instance lighting devices,
connected to a KNX/EIB actuator. The button connected to the input sends the ON and OFF
commands alternatively. The indicator LED is ON when the load is activated.
EDGE MANAGEMENT
This activates or deactivates electrical loads, such as for instance lighting devices,
connected to a KNX/EIB actuator. Input can be configured to:
• connect a button and send the ON command;
• connect a button and send the OFF command;
• connect a switch or button to send the ON command when the contact is closed, and
the OFF command when it is open (ON/OFF);
• connect a switch or button to send the OFF command when the contact is closed, and
the ON command when it is open (OFF/ON);
An eventual status indicator LED is always OFF.
