If an LED fails, the entire light unit must be replaced!
Attaching the lamps:
When attaching the lamps, the light of the E-Bike must be switched off.
u
Only switch the light on when the lamps are fitted to the E-Bike.
u
If your E-Bike system does not have a light switch, the battery must be removed when attaching the lamps.
u
The reflector surface of the taillight must be oriented vertically to the road and at a right angle to the longitu-
u
dinal axis of the road.
In accordance with the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO) section 67, lights must be pro-
u
perly and firmly attached and constantly ready for use. Lights may not be covered.
The following attachment heights apply to bicycle taillights: min. height: 250 mm, max. height: 1200 mm
u
When using lowerable seat posts, make sure that the lamp does not collide with the saddle when the seat
u
post is lowered.
The saddle clamp with the Monkey Link rear light must be attached to the seat tube of the frame.
u
The rear lamp may not be mounted on any movable parts of the saddle pillar.
u
The saddle clamp is designed for a saddle tube diameter of 32 or 35 mm.
u
In order to link the MonkeyLink module to the bike, move it with the integrated part of the holder (connector (2.))
within close proximity of the base (1.) until you feel the magnetic attraction. Lock the accessory section into the base
until you hear a click sound from the mechanical coupling. Ensure that the rocker arm (3.) is fully engaged.
To remove the MonkeyLink module, operate the rocker arm (3.) and pull the module up out of the coupling.

Transporting the lamps:
Please remember that the lamp must be protected when transported in a bag. The contacts, in

particular, must be protected against mechanical influences.
The fastenings must be checked for dirt and any adhering metal items before attachment.

Safety information:

Never look directly into the light.
u
Do not expose the front light to intense heat.
u
Before every journey, ensure that the headlight is not covered.
u
AC. It should be noted that the use of the 6-12 V DC
AC version is only permitted for bicycles with electric
assisted pedalling (e-bikes) if, following a discharge-ba-
sed shut-down of the support drive, an uninterrupted
power supply to the lighting system is ensured for at least
two hours, or if the drive motor can be used temporarily
as a generator in order to continue to supply power to the
lighting system.
The light is switched on/off using the bike control unit
with pedal assistance.
