ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS- STANDARD LUMINAIRE WITH EMERGENCY BACKUP
NOTE: The emergency driver and AC driver must
be fed from the same branch circuit.
STEP 1:
Make the following electrical connections :
a. Connect the black lead from the EB
driver labeled AC-L Unswitched to the
unswitched voltage supply lead.
b. Connect the blue lead from the EB
driver labeled AC-LOUT Switched to
the switched voltage supply lead.
c. Connect white lead from the EB driver
labeled AC-N to the neutral supply
lead (HOT 2 for 208/240V wiring).
d. Connect green/yellow ground EB
driver lead to the luminaire green/
yellow ground lead, junction box
ground, and the supply ground lead.
e. Connect the brown lead from the
EB driver labeled DRIVER-N to the
white lead from the luminaire.
f.
Connect the purple lead from the
EB driver labeled DRIVER-L to the
black lead from the luminaire.
g. Connect the green lead from the EB
driver labeled DRIVER DIM+ to the
violet lead from the luminaire.
h. Connect the yellow lead from the EB
driver labeled DRIVER DIM- to the grey
or pink lead from the luminaire.
i.
If 0/1-10V Dimming is used, connect the
violet lead from the EB driver labeled
DIM+ to the supply positive dimming
lead. Class 1 wiring methods must
be used for dimming connections. If
dimming is not used, cap off the violet
lead from the EB bdriver labeled DIM+.
j.
If 0/1-10V Dimming is used, connect the
grey or pink lead from the EB driver labeled
DIM- to the supply negative dimming lead.
Class 1 wiring methods must be used
for dimming connections. If dimming is
not used, cap off the grey or pink lead
from the EB driver labeled DIM-.
k. The red lead from the EB driver labeled DC
12V+, the black lead from the EB driver
labeled DC 12V-, and the white lead
from the EB driver labeled Sensor+ are
not used. Cap all three leads off.
STEP 2:
Make sure all state and local codes are followed as part of the wiring and installation of lumianire.
